I painted this piece after a summer of taking a few ‘mini road trips.’ At the time, I couldn’t take the time off work, so Saturdays and Sundays were the only day trip options.

“We can’t be afraid of change. You may feel very secure in the pond that you are in, but if you never venture out of it, you will never know that there is such a thing as an ocean, a sea. Holding onto something that is good for you now, maybe the very reason why you don’t have something better.”

It’s my last holiday market of the season this Saturday, December 17 from 10 am - 4 pm at Soul Sanctuary, 2050 Chevrier Blvd., near Linden Woods. Free admission and free parking.

Inspiration comes from so many places. Lately the constant transitioning around me has infused my art with non-representational abstraction.
